The goal of this social venture is to promote a healthy, active, and balanced mind and body for women in Nicaragua. We intend to provide women with the knowledge they need to understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle before, during, and after pregnancy beyond what they eat. Around 75% of Nicaragua’s population is under 40 years of age and the female population is a little over half of the total population. The median age at first birth is 19 years; Nicaragua has one of the highest rate of teen pregnancies, and the fertility rate is around 2.1 children per woman. 48% of the population is living below the poverty line, so the main goal of this venture is to follow a hybrid model and generate enough revenue to subsidize classes in these same areas of health and wellness for women and families living at the bottom of the pyramid.
